EP Tension Bushes

Type EP Tension Bushes are used for applications involving rotary motion, like the Type ES Tension Bushes, but for when longer length bushes might be required. They have two inclined slots joining in the centre of the bush surface, forming an arrowhead shape.

With the use of Tension Bushes, the wear on more expensive components such as pins and bearing bores are greatly reduced and is instead shifted on to the Tension Bush, which is easier to replace. The assembly is simple and does not require much maintenance, which significantly shortens any downtime for the equipment.

The external diameter of the Tension Bush is oversized prior to fitting, creating an initial tension when fitted into the mounting hole. Tension Bushes also have the advantage of having a chamfered end to enable easier installation.
